Order Details for Wesco Custom Jobmaster Logger Boots:

Custom boots
Custom made to measure boots: My measurements are already on file from a previous order
Note: The first time you get made to measure boots we'll refer you directly to Wesco

Production time for Wesco Custom made lace-up boots is currently running about 14 weeks

Click here for detailed advice on choosing the correct size

Don't estimate or just order the same size as some other footwear... measure your feet
to determine what size they are. Order boots the same size as your feet... not the same
size as some other footwear you own.

Boot Size: U.S. Men's Sizes

Wesco Boot Width:

Note: Wesco boots, like many boots, are designed to be worn with heavy boot socks. They are made slightly large to allow for this. So, if your feet measure US Men's size 9 ½ and you wear size 9 ½ dress shoes, then size 9 ½ Wesco boots, worn with heavy boot socks, will fit you correctly.

If your feet are size 12 or longer, the extra room built into the Wesco boots is proportionally less generous than it is in smaller sizes. You might consider ordering your boots a half size large to allow room for expansion of your feet.

Height of boot in inches:
To convert from inches to centimeters, multiply the height in inches by 2.54.

Note: To determine where the top of the boot will be on your leg, measure
up from the heel of your stockinged feet along the back of your leg.
This should be done while in a seated position with the knees bent at a 90 degree angle.

The initial height of Jobmaster Logger boots will be 1" shorter than specified.
e.g. if you order a 16" boot, it will come up 15" from your heel. This is normal
for ALL lace-up boots. Read about this in our Boot FAQ here.

As they break in, the boots will drop about a half inch depending on their initial
height. However lined boots will stay very close to their initial height.

Extra Midsole:

You can add an extra ¼ inch / 6 mm thick midsole which runs from toe to heel and makes the entire sole construction ¼" / 6 mm thicker. This is the extra midsole which is used in the Big Black Boots Super Boss boots. The extra leather midsole is stiffer -- the extra EVA rubber midsole is more flexible and lighter. We recommend the EVA rubber over the leather midsoles. EVA rubber is the material normally used to make midsoles for boots and athletic shoes.

When this extra midsole is added, the sole assembly is too thick to be sewn all the way through the Vibram outsole which is normal for all Wesco boots. So the boots are built like almost all other boots. The sole is sewn through the midsole assembly then the Vibram outsole is glued on using standard bootmaking procedures. There is one advantage to this... it is easier to replace the outsole when it needs replacement.

Standard Boots - no extra midsole
Extra ¼" / 6 mm EVA rubber midsole ($26)
Extra ¼" / 6 mm leather midsole ($26)

Soles:

The soles below work with all heel heights - Click here to see soles.
Soles are black unless a color is specified in the description.

#100 Vibram Heavy Lug Sole
#430 Vibram Mini-Lug Sole
#700 brown Vibram non-lugged Sole
#100F Vibram Heavy Lug Sole (fire resistant / oil resistant) ( $15 )
#100H Honey Vibram Heavy Lug Sole (tan version of the #100) ( $13 )
#705 brown Vibram retro Half Sole ($33)
Dark Brown Leather with rubber heel ($36)
Caution - these soles are slippery and wear quickly

These Vibram® "Raptor" single piece, cushioned wedge, unisoles work only with low heel heights.

Vibram Raptor Chocolate Uni-Sole
Vibram Raptor Camel Uni-Sole

If you decide to have your boots built with these unisoles which have a sole and heel molded in one unit, there is no charge for lowering the heel since the bootmaker doesn't need to build a custom low heel using fewer lifts.
